Sustainable Tourism and Rural Development:
This course critically examines the sustainability of tourism from a holistic and dynamic approach. It focuses on the physical environment of tourism planning and the socio-cultural realities of tourism planning and policy making.The relationship of sustainable tourism and regional development is analyzed focusing on the set of techniques used by the public and private sectors to attain different purposes (urban revitalization, conservation, agricultural diversification, etc.).

Students are able to submit their topic for Part C of the Portfolio which is the same as the oral exam topic. Topics must be submitted no later than Friday 9th December 2016.
Students are also able to submit Part C of the Portfolio which is due no later than January 13th, 2017.
